After a month of football fun and Samba spirit Leeds marketing agency Brass, which changed its name to ‘Brassil’ for the duration of the World Cup, has announced that it has raised over £1,000 for Leeds Children’s Charity.

From 12th June to 13 July 2014, Brass Agency re-branded as Brassil – including a new domain name www.brassil.co.uk and celebrated the World Cup with a host of fun events including daily inter-agency penalty shoot outs in aid of Leeds Children’s Charity.

“At Brass we love sport so the World Cup was a great excuse to have some fun and raise some much needed funds for a very deserving Leeds charity.”

John Morgan
Brass Chief Executive Officer

When everyone came into work on Thursday 12th June they found Brass transformed into ‘Brassil’ with packs for every member of staff to decorate their desks, home and away dressing rooms and the whole agency divided into world cup teams – to correspond with the teams taking part in the World Cup.

We held penalty shoot outs every day, reflecting the World Cup fixtures and for every penalty scored by the Brassil teams throughout the competition we donated £2 to Leeds Children’s Charity and I’m delighted to say we exceeded our £1,000 target with a grand total of £1,065.

“On behalf of all the trustees of the Leeds Children’s Charity, I would like to thank everyone who got involved with this amazing fundraising effort.

“The children who will benefit all live in Leeds and have little hope or expectation due to their home situations. I can confirm that the money raised from this event will be used to provide much needed respite for children who would not otherwise have the opportunity to leave the City. Many thanks to everyone at Brass for their amazing support and generosity.”
